Electric Zoo in New York City’s Randall’s Island, and Ultra Music Festival 2011 in Miami, Florida
I’ve said it again and again, that I am THE biggest fan of a good music festival. I find the entire process so exciting. With the rise of electronic dance music’s popularity, people should be reminded that it isn’t the only option. One favorite festival that I have been to is Rock the Bells, a hip hop showcase hosted on Governor’s Island every summer (sadly, it was with an ex-boyfriend, but I still hold the memories dear).
A Welcome Back…
After a while of intense blogging, then pausing to instead read my followers instead of contribute, I have returned with a full vengeance as part of an assignment for my Strategic Presentation Methods in Digital Media Class. When picking a theme for class, I really wanted to explore my interests. The most important thing I do with my spare time these days is trying new things. I wish I had the means and the freedom to travel, but I don’t at the moment. Instead, I try to listen to new music, read good books, and culture myself to the fullest. I say this with full hopes of not sounding pretentious.
This blog probably won’t be helping me professionally, but in my personal life it is a type of cork board where I can post tidbits that I can return to later.
There comes a time when we realize that our parents cannot save themselves or save us, that everyone who wades through time eventually gets dragged out to sea by the undertow—that, in short, we are all going.

One of my Favorites
“I wanted so badly to lie down next to her on the couch, to wrap my arms around her and sleep. Not fuck, like in those movies. Not even have sex. Just sleep together, in the most innocent sense of the phrase. But I lacked the courage and she had a boyfriend and I was gawky and she was gorgeous and I was hopelessly boring and she was endlessly fascinating. So I walked back to my room and collapsed on the bottom bunk, thinking that if people were rain, I was drizzle and she was a hurricane.” -John Greene, Looking for Alaska
Suddenly have the urge to take this book out of the library again.
